ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION

INTRODUCTION

Erectile Dysfunction (ED): Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the most common sex problem that men report to their doctor. It affects as many as 30 million men. ED is defined as having trouble or keeping an erection that is firm enough for sex.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION

Though it is not rare for a man to have some problems with erections from time to time, ED that is progressive or happens routinely with sex is not normal, and it should be treated
ED can happen:

    • Most often when blood flow in the penis is limited or nerves are harmed
    • With stress or emotional reasons
    • As an early warning of a more serious illness, like atherosclerosis (hardening or blocked arteries), heart disease, high blood pressure, or high blood sugar from Diabetes

Finding the cause(s) of your ED will help treat the problem and help with your overall well-being. As a rule, what is good for your heart health is good for your sex health.

HOW ERECTION WORK? ERECTION WORK?

Illustration of How Erection work.

During sexual arousal, nerves release chemicals that increase blood flow into the penis. Blood flows into two erection chambers in the penis, made of spongy muscle tissue (the corpus cavernosum). The corpus cavernosum chambers are not hollow. During an erection, the spongy tissues relax and trap blood. The blood pressure in the chambers makes the penis firm, causing an erection. When a man has an orgasm, the second set of nerve signals reach the penis and cause the muscular tissue in the penis to contract and blood is released back into a man’s circulation the erection comes down. When you are not sexually aroused, the penis is soft and limp. Men may notice that the size of the penis varies with warmth, cold, or worry, this is normal and reflects, the balance of blood coming into and leaving the penis.

SYMPTOMS

ED may be a major warning sign of cardiovascular disease indicating blockages are building in a man’s vascular system. Some studies have shown men with ED are at significant risk of getting a heart attack, stroke, or circulatory problems in the legs. ED also causes:

  • Low self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Distress for the man and his partner

If ED is affecting a man’s well-being or his relationships, it should be treated. Treatment aims to fix or enhance erectile function, help circulatory health and help the quality of a man’s life.

WHAT CAUSE THE DISEASE? THE DISEASE?

Male sexual arousal is a complex process that involves the brain, hormones, emotions, nerves, muscles, and blood vessels. Erectile dysfunction can result from a problem with any of these. Likewise, stress and mental health concerns can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction.

Sometimes a combination of physical and psychological issues causes erectile dysfunction. For instance, a minor physical condition that slows your sexual response might cause anxiety about maintaining an erection. The resulting anxiety can lead to or worsen erectile dysfunction.

CURRENT TREATMENT TREATMENT

Medications usually are successful ED treatment for many men such as :

    • Sildenafil (Viagra)
    • Tadalafil (Clialis)
    • Vardenafil (Levitra)

All medicines will make muscles relax in the penis and increase blood flow. However, all these medicines have their side effects. Possible side effects are flushing, nasal congestion, headache, visual changes, backache, and stomach upset.

WHAT WE OFFER? OFFER?

EXOSOME RESEARCH - CELLTIX CELLTIX

CelltiX is a type of extracellular vesicle from Umbilical Cord-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) manufactured in a cGMP-compliant facility.

It is a novel form of a major paracrine factor released by MSCs into a culture medium, which plays an important role in a wide range of biological processes.

STEM CELL RESEARCH - CELLTIMAX CELLTIMAX

CelltiMax is a product derived from human umbilical cord-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs). The cells are cultured, then administered to the patient via intramuscular or intravenous injection. They have the ability to differentiate into specialized cells with specific functions for various parts of the body, and can reduce inflammation, repair, renew, regenerate, and replace damaged cells.

EXOSOME

Definition

Stem cells are unspecialized cells of the human body.

Extracellular vesicles, which is the medical term for tiny bubbles that are released from stem cells.

Function

Unique, can become any type of cell, and they act as both building blocks and repair mechanisms in your body.

Carry genetic information and proteins to cells throughout your body, and they create paths for communication between cells.

Origins

Donor stem cells are placed in your body and are guided into becoming specific cells in the body to replace and repair diseased cells.

Exosomes are extracted from donated human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and sterilized.

Growth Factors

Less amount of growth factors compared to exosomes.

Exosomes contain nearly three times the amount of growth factors. More growth factors mean a better ability to restore and revitalize target cells.

Administration

    • IV Stem Cell Research (Intravenous administration)
    • Intrathecal (directly into the spinal canal)
    • Site injections into problem areas (Knee, hips, hands, etc)
    • Intravenous (IV) research
    • Direct injection in the treatment area

The MSC-derived exosomes ameliorate erectile dysfunction by alleviation of corpus cavernosum smooth muscle apoptosis in a rat model of cavernous nerve injury.

3D spheroid culturing afforded a 278-fold increase in the total protein content of CM, as compared to that from 2D cultures; the protein concentration increased by 19 times on increasing the centrifugation time for cut-off filtering. Biochemical assays indicated that the CM contains various types of angiogenic, neurotrophic, and anti-inflammatory factors. Histological assay results showed that MSC-CM has angio- and neuro-trophic effect in a CN injury rat model in vivo, and these therapeutic effects appear in a dose-dependent manner.

The experimental results confirmed the therapeutic effect of MSC-CM in healing damaged cavernosal tissue and restoring erectile function. These results successfully demonstrated that MSC-CM has significant potential for the treatment of ED.
